Daily & Weekly Care Guide
Follow these simple maintenance steps to keep your extensions clean, smooth,
hydrated, and protected from unnecessary stress.
Keeping your hair clean is key. Dirt, sweat, and product buildup can cause tangling, so it’s important to
wash your hair regularly—especially after exercise or swimming. Before washing, always brush your hair
thoroughly to remove any tangles.
When washing, use a gentle downward motion and avoid scrubbing or piling the hair on top of your head,
as this can lead to matting and frizz.
Start by gradually wetting the hair. Applying too much water too quickly to very dry hair can cause it to
swell and tangle. Use warm water—never hot—as hot water can dry out both your natural hair and the extensions.
Choose a high-quality, sulfate-free shampoo, as these are more gentle and help preserve the integrity of the hair.
Your stylist can recommend the best products for your specific hair type.
After washing, keep the hair flat and avoid wrapping it tightly in a towel. You may let your extensions air dry,
blow-dry them, or use a roller set. Finish with a leave-in conditioner or a few drops of Argan or Moroccan oil serum
to maintain moisture and shine.
Avoid applying grease directly to the scalp, as this may loosen certain types of extensions,
particularly strand-by-strand methods.
Use a paddle wire brush (wig brush) to detangle your hair two to three times per day.
Always start brushing from the ends and work your way up to the roots to prevent breakage.
Avoid using combs except when parting the hair.
When styling, avoid products that contain alcohol, as they can dry out the hair.
Before applying heat, always use a protective serum such as Argan or Moroccan oil
to maintain softness and prevent damage.
When swimming, it is best to wear a cap or keep your hair out of chlorinated or salt water.
If your hair does get wet, make sure to detangle it carefully both before and after entering the water.
Rinse immediately with clean water and apply a leave-in conditioner before styling as usual.
Never tie up your hair while it is tangled or matted. Always detangle first, then secure it.
For both exercise and swimming, it is recommended to wear your hair in a ponytail
or a secure, low-maintenance style to minimize friction and tangling.
Never go to bed with wet hair, as this can cause severe tangling and damage.
Ensure your hair is completely dry before sleeping.
To further protect your extensions, gently tie your hair in a loose braid or ponytail,
or wrap it to keep it controlled and smooth overnight.
